Over my career, I’ve managed recovery for nearly 4,000 business continuity events. Hurricanes, tornadoes, supply chain failures the disruptions that make headlines and the ones that never do. Thirty years leading resilience efforts at Goodyear, Nestlé, and Stouffer Hotels taught me a lesson most business continuity software vendors never learn: the plans that hold up under real pressure aren’t the ones with the most documentation. They’re the ones built around what an organization actually depends on to function.
I wrote the book on operational resilience… literally. I’m the author of Excellence in Operational Resilience: How to Lead, Follow, and Guide the Way, and I’ve served on the DRI Board of Directors and the DRJ Executive Council.
Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping organizations make better decisions, recover faster, and continue delivering what matters most when disruptions occur. As a Strategic Advisor, I’m looking forward to working alongside the MEO team to help shape the future of the platform the way practitioners actually need it built — grounded in what happens when a plan meets reality.
